The project involves a complete renovation of the 22,300 sq. ft. academic building with the concept of creating a student-focused experience. The hub of the renovated building will be a Student Commons area that provides student gathering and collaborative spaces, including collaboration pods, a makerspace, coffee shop, and casual seating areas. Surrounding the student commons will be STEM classrooms, including biology and chemistry labs, and faculty offices. The completed project will be Green Globe certified and will serve as an example of sustainable design to the students using the facility.
